ALEX Titchiner picked a perfect moment to end a near three-months wait for a league goal as Witton toppled leaders Curzon Ashton.
Albion’s top scorer hit the net twice after half time as Brian Pritchard’s men returned to winning ways at the Help for Heroes Stadium, climbing to third in the Evo-Stik NPL Division One North table as a reward.
Curzon ceded top spot to AFC Fylde too.
Witton led when Anthony Sheehan converted from the penalty spot after Titchiner’s progress had been curtailed by Graham Kay’s foul, a lead doubled by the latter early in the second period.
When he made it 3-0, Curzon were condemned to only a second defeat of the season.
Kay scored in stoppage time, but it proved a mere blemish on Witton’s copybook .
They trail AFC Fylde by nine points with a game in hand ahead of a trip to Salford on Tuesday.
