WITTON boss Brian Pritchard will tell his players to forget their previous visit to Ossett when they return tomorrow, Saturday.

Albion were 6-0 victors there in September, but can expect their opponents to be better this time around after an improved run of results since.

“They’re obviously a different proposition now,” said Pritchard.

“A lot of their players hadn’t played at this level before the season started, but it seems like they are much more at home now.”

Ossett climbed out of the relegation zone after losing only once in seven matches up to last weekend, but back-to-back defeats this week has stalled their momentum.

They kick off this weekend’s clash three points clear of second-bottom Wakefield, losers against Witton last time out.

Pritchard said: “My message hasn’t changed – we need to be mentally strong.

“The pitch is unlikely to suit the way we like to play, so we’ll need to put in a performance like we did at Prescot to keep going the run we’ve started.

“We’ve been burned this season when we’ve taken teams lightly, which is why it’s so important to approach games like this one with the right attitude.”

Witton will be without wide man Jamie Harrison, who has been granted indefinite leave, but everybody else is available to play.

Chris Gahgan is pushing for a recall after starting last Saturday’s contest on the bench, while fit-again Carl Clampitt and Tom Schofield push Oliver James for a place alongside Anthony Sheehan in the heart of midfield.
