NORTHWICH Victoria will begin the defence of the Cheshire FA Senior Cup in the same way as they started last term – at home to Cheadle Town.

Andy Preece’s holders have been paired with the Vodkat North West Counties League Division One club – ranked three divisions below Vics – in November’s second round.

Last season’s contest ended 6-0 to the hosts.

Elsewhere neighbours Witton Albion travel to Evo-Stik League Division One North rivals Woodley Sports, runners-up last season.

Newcomers Chester FC and Runcorn Town have home dates against Congleton Town and Warrington Town respectively.

Winsford United take on familiar foes in the shape of Runcorn Linnets.

This season’s competition starts next month when Nantwich Town host Blue Square Bet North club Stalybridge Celtic in the first round’s sole tie.

The second stage is scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, kick off 7.45pm, meaning league matches scheduled for that night will have be rearranged.
