Match Pointers
WITTON Albion bid to become the first visiting team to win a league encounter against title favourites Mickleover Sports this afternoon.

Manager Gary Finley will be forced to shuffle his pack following Tuesday’s impressive single-goal success at Rushall Olympic after Ryan Broadhead returned to neighbours Northwich Victoria yesterday, Friday.

Peter Heler begins a three-matches ban too.

Darren Jones could come in alongside captain Paul Henry in the centre of the field, while Jamie Tandy (knee) hopes to have shaken off injury to play.

On-loan front man Luke Powell should continue alongside Carl Lamb in attack after making his debut in midweek following a switch from Blue Square Premier Barrow.

The hosts, currently ten points clear of closest rivals Glapwell at the top of the table, are on a 15-matches winning streak.

Dick Pratley’s men almost came unstuck against Quorn ten days ago before Karl Ashton’s last-minute goal sealed a 2-1 win.

They did not play last week, so should be fresh.
