WITTON Albion host the UniBond League Division One South’s worst travellers as they bid to get their play-offs push back on track.

Gary Finley’s men, winners in only one of their past half dozen league encounters, start the weekend four points adrift of fifth position.

He will be forced into at least two changes to the starting line-up from last Saturday’s 3-0 home reverse against Carlton Town with Steve Brodie (hamstring) and Mike Moseley (broken leg) both out injured.

Aaron Grundy (knee) hopes to be fit, but Paul Booth (ankle) and Jamie Tandy (knee) are longer-term absentees.

Meanwhile the Witton boss will wait until the last possible moment to decide on Carl Lamb’s involvement. Ronnie Morgan, missing last week due to commitments at work, should be back though.

Captain Paul Henry returns after a three-matches ban. Newcomer Paul Brown as another option too.

Visitors Spalding - thrashed 6-1 by Albion on the opening day of the season - have claimed a single point from their 16 away days this term. They have lost 10 of their past 11 league matches too.

Goalkeeper Michael Emery will be left out following his horror show in last week’s five-goals drubbing against title favourites Mickleover Sports, so Academy keeper Max Flintoft takes over in goal.
