Match Pointers
WITTON Albion will hope to make up ground on their play-offs rivals when they start a sequence of three home dates in their next four matches tomorrow, Saturday.
Gary Finley’s men have suffered successive reverses against Brigg Town and Glapwell, leaving them two points adrift of the coveted fifth place.
But current occupants Chasetown have played two fewer matches.
The Albion boss will be hoping to call on veteran Brian Pritchard to bolster a backline that has appeared vulnerable in his absence, but skipper Paul Henry is definitely out as he starts a three-matches ban.
Paul Booth (ankle) and Jamie Tandy (knee) will be missing through injury.
If selected, Brad Maylett will make his 50th start in red and white.
Visitors Stamford, who lost by four goals on their last visit, have won only one of their past seven league matches.
They will be without experienced front man Tony Battersby for the trip to Northwich, so Dan Matson is likely to deputise.
