Match Pointers
WITTON Albion could return to the UniBond League Division One South play-offs positions if they beat Quorn tomorrow, Saturday.
Gary Finley’s men won their first league match since November at Kidsgrove Athletic in midweek when Ronnie Morgan scored his first goal since signing from Cammell Laird.
It leaves them three points – and as many places – off fifth spot.
The Albion boss will wait until the last minute to decide on Brad Maylett’s involvement after the former Northwich Victoria wide man was forced off with an ankle injury in midweek.
Steve Brody and Sean Doherty stand by.
Paul Booth (ankle) remains sidelined but Carl Ruffer is available again after completing a three-matches suspension.
He could return alongside Brian Pritchard in defence, allowing Ryan Broadhead to return to his usual midfield position as another alternative to Maylett.
Hosts Quorn remain in the division’s bottom five, but they did celebrate an impressive win against promotion hopefuls Sheffield FC in midweek.
Their record in front of their own fans is sound too; there last league defeat at home was back in September against Rushall Olympic.
Doug Keast’s men are unbeaten in six at Farley Way since then.
Former Premier League striker Julian Joachim sat out Tuesday’s success with injury and remains a doubt, as do Anthony Marriott and Steve Purton for the same reason.
