BRAD Bauress will join Barrow from Witton Albion, the National League club announced on Sunday.
The attacking midfielder, who finished last season as his team’s leading goal-scorer, departs the Northwich outfit after a single campaign.
After finding the net 27 times, including a stunning equaliser in a promotion play-off final meeting with Spalding United, he inevitably attracted the attention of a number of higher-ranked admirers.
Among them are the Cumbrians, for whom former Witton boss Paul Ogden works as a scout.
Bauress, who turned 21 the day before Albion sealed a return to the Northern Premier League’s top-flight with a 2-1 win against the Tulips, arrived at Wincham Park last summer following a brief spell with Colwyn Bay at the end of the previous campaign.
He had been released by Blackburn Rovers in May 2015.
