Why should I watch..?
To see if Witton can arrest a dip in form that has seen wins, and goals, disappear at the same time.
Albion lost only once in the Northern Premier League between November 15 and February 27, a sequence of 11 matches.
However a 3-0 reverse at Spennymoor that day has been followed by back-to-back defeats against play-offs hopefuls Burscough and Clitheroe.
In between, they were held by lowly Radcliffe and Harrogate in successive away games.
Numbers game
Witton have failed to win any of their past five Division One North fixtures – their longest sequence without a league victory since Carl Macauley was appointed as manager last October.
Boro will visit Northwich for the second time this week following a 1-0 success against Vics on Wednesday. Steve Kittrick’s men have now won four of their past five matches.
Man to keep an eye on
Danny Roberts
Witton have signed again a goalkeeper that started the season at Wincham Park after following then manager Scott Dundas from Norton United last summer.
A shoulder injury has prevented the 25-year-old from playing since he left Albion and joined league rivals Glossop.
Now fully recovered, he has agreed terms with the club this week and could make his first appearance.
