WITTON Albion bounced out of the Doodson Sport Cup at lower-level Lancaster City last night.
Three goals in the final 14 minutes from Evo-Stik First Division North 14th-place club City ended Albion's hopes at the second-round stage.
Ryan Read had given Tony Sullivan's side a 13th-minute lead and even though Ryan Winder handed Lancaster a perfect start to the second period with a 48th-minute equaliser Witton soon had their noses in front again.
Jamie Henders slotted home a penalty in the 50th minute and the one-goal advantage was held until the 76th minute when Ryan Winder responded in kind from the spot.
Witton hopes of a place in the last 16 were dashed when Billy Akrigg (82mins) and Aaron Taylor (89mins) concluded the scoring.
