ANOTHER win, and another record.

Winnington Park, already crowned as South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two champions and Cheshire RFU Bowl winners, laid another marker in their final fixture at Oswestry.

A 26th successive victory means they conclude the league campaign with an unblemished record, and the margin of their triumph was wide enough to take their points difference beyond 1000.

It is a feat likely never to be repeated.

Their hosts made them toil, initially at least, in the heat before a breakthrough arrived midway through the first half when Dan Williams chased his own kick before collecting the ball and dotting down.

Cameron Flanagan completed the first of five conversions afterwards.

A second try followed when wing Jamie Pugh sprinted to the whitewash before the opening period ended with Aaron Brown going over on the opposite side of the field.

Scrum-half Jack Williams was next to add his name to a growing list of scorers, again converted by Flanagan, before head coach Matt Farr rang the changes.

He sent on experienced duo Harry Stubbs and Will Burgess, although Oswestry notched a consolation try – which they converted – before the visitors scored again.

Brown added gloss to an encouraging debut campaign at Burrows Hill when he claimed two more tries before full-time to complete a personal treble.
