AFTER another dozen tries, and an emphatic win, you'd expect Roger Pickering to be happy.

However Winnington Park's head coach reminded his players they will have tougher tests to come.

"We lost focus and our shape became ragged," he reflected afterwards.

"That's a concern, because when we're pushed we'll need to show far greater discipline."

Eagle, depleted, offered little resistance as Ben Ridgway, Craig Lamb and Jack Williams each claimed a hat-trick for the hosts at Burrows Hill on Saturday.

Dave Cross burst forward before sending Ridgway towards a corner for a first, then Josh Gibbins touched down at the end of a sweeping move.

Lamb then showed his pace to cross the whitewash after a turnover, converted by Williams.

Eagle replied when David Heathwood intercepted a wayward pass, leaving Kieron Thomas to add the extras.

However Park were ruthless on the break for the remainder, with Lamb and Gibbins doubling their personal tallies - converted by Williams - to make it 38-7 at half-time.

Ridgway barged over twice more in the second period before Williams spotted a gap on the left and danced his way through.

Scrum-half Matt Cross made a break from inside his own half before finding support from Lee Allmark, who in turn invited Williams to claim his second score.

Lamb ran clear to touch down his third try of the contest, replacement Gareth Owen scored with a minute to go and Williams completed his personal treble to complete the scoring.

Port Sunlight, hammered 88-0 by Tyldesley on Saturday, host Park this weekend, kick off 3pm.
