THIS display did little to dispel the growing gloom amongst Vics loyal following.
In a first half when they barely competed the only surprise was that it took forty five minutes for the home side to take advantage.
Paolo Vernazza and Robinson failed to convert early chances before Ben Connett scooped an Ashley Vickers header off his goal line, leaving McCallum to move forward and drive a shot onto the bar.
The former Yeovil striker made amends just before the break when he easily evaded three weak challenges to score with a firm left foot shot.
Striker Chris Coward, on loan from Stockport, replaced Paul Tait at half time but to little effect.
It was left to Connett to deny Louis after Brad Maylett had produced an equally important block as Weymouth continued to dominate.
An inevitable second goal proved not long in coming, albeit in a bizarre fashion.
Ryan Brown, facing his own goal, struck the perfect volley from a McCallum cross toward his own goal leaving an astonished Connett to produce a reflex save that deserved a better outcome than a goal that Louis followed up to score.
The second 18-year-old on loan from Stockport, defender James Tunnicliffe, replaced Greg Strong and Lee Steele took the place of a clearly distraught Chris Williams.
The introduction of Steele did eventually provide Vics with some belated impetus and he almost grabbed a late consolation but was denied by a Stewart save.
Otherwise this was a performance that did no more than underline Vics right to be at the very bottom of the league.
