Match Pointers
NORTHWICH Victoria can move one step closer to the top half of the table with victory over promotion hopefuls Fleetwood Town tonight, Tuesday.

Manager Andy Preece has almost everybody to pick from with only long-term injury absentee Jonny Allan (knee) ruled out.

Michael Connor (ankle) is ready to return after missing the 1-0 win at Gloucester City last time out, while match-winner that day Junior Brown has shaken off a bout of flu. Jamie Vermiglio, sent off on his debut in the same game, does not serve his suspension until Saturday.

Vics have lost only once in the league since September 5, but that was last time out in front of their own fans against Hinckley United.

The visitors, who knocked Northwich out of the FA Trophy last month, are unbeaten in their past seven Blue Square North encounters.

They are likely to call on captain Jamie Milligan and star signing Gareth Seddon this time around after both sat out the match at Highbury Stadium.

Former Witton Albion pair Adam Warlow and Steve Connors, not to mention ex-Vics wide man Jamie Mullan, will be desperate to impress at the Victoria Stadium.

Like Northwich, Micky Mellon’s men have been busy on cup duty in the past few weeks, leaving them outside the play-offs places down in eighth position.

Vics are 15 points worse off than the Fisherman, with one match in hand.
