Northwich Victoria will play eight matches in December


DECEMBER promises a packed programme for Northwich Victoria, with eight matches to fit in.

That includes seven Blue Square North encounters as Andy Preece’s men turn back their attention to climbing up the league table following their FA Cup and FA Trophy exits.

First up at the Victoria Stadium tomorrow, Tuesday, are Hinckley United, kick off 7.45pm.

A trip to Cirencester to play Gloucester City follows on Saturday.

There then follows a 10-day hiatus before Fleetwood Town are due in town on Tuesday, December 15, kick off 7.45pm.

The next day, Wednesday, sees Vics head to neighbours Chester City in the last eight of the Cheshire FA Senior Cup.

Fellow promotion hopefuls AFC Telford United return for the first time since the ill-fated FA Cup clash in October 2008 the following Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Corby Town are Vics’ guests on Tuesday, December 22, kick off 7.45pm, for a match rescheduled from the beginning of November.

A Boxing Day date at Vauxhall Motors is followed by the visit of Dave Pace’s Droylsden on Monday, December 28, kick off 3pm, to complete a busy month.

Vics host Vauxhall for the return match on New Year’s Day.

No new dates have yet been arranged for the visit of Blyth Spartans or a trip to Stalybridge Celtic, both matches postponed due to commitments in the cup.
