GOALKEEPER Andy Murphy has been recalled by Preston North End.
The shot stopper is needed for their reserve team clash with Morecambe at Deepdale tonight, Wednesday.
He made just three appearances for Vics.
Liverpool born Murphy, 20, was signed on a six-month loan deal in the summer by then manager Neil Redfearn.
He was first choice for Vics' opening two Blue Square Premier matches of the campaign only to be dropped after making a mistake in their 3-3 draw with Droylsden.
Ben Connett has been first choice since, even under stand-in bosses Paul Warhurst and Dino Maamria.
Preston boss Paul Simpson is known to have been frustrated at Murphy's lack of playing time at the Victoria Stadium.
"It's a little bit disappointing Andy has not played more games so far," he said last month.
