TWO young Stockport County players have joined Northwich Vics on loan.

County's official website says James Tunnicliffe and Chris Coward have both signed for Vics for a month.

The two players, who are both 18, go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against Weymouth.

County manager Jim Gannon is quoted as saying: "I'm sure James and Chris will benefit from their time at Northwich."

Tunnicliffe is a 6ft 4 inches tall central defender.

Coward is a midfielder and became the youngest player to appear in a League Cup match when he came on a substitute in a match against Sheffield Wednesday as a 16 year old.
