SNAKES took the remaining prize on offer in the Mid Cheshire League this season when they prevailed in the Mike Johns Memorial Handicap Knockout final.
A 5-2 win against Rangers, opponents they had twice beaten narrowly in Division Three fixtures, saw them take home the silverware for the first time.
The rivals were tied at 2-2 before victories in straight sets for Andy Beswick and Kieran Underwood preceded a head-to-head between Mike Perks and Warren Atkinson that went the distance.
John Mullin registered both of Rangers’ successes on the night.
