EMILY Martin had to stop and wait while cows crossed the road during a time trial near Chelford on Saturday.
The Weaver Valley Cycling Club member completed 10 miles in 26.45 to classify seventh overall in a field of 23 riders during the Manchester and District Ladies Cycling Association event.
She took fifth place in the handicap competition.
Lynsey Astles stopped the clock in 28.39, a minute faster than her previous time-trial outing, to rank third in the handicap competition.
Meanwhile Glossop Kinder Cycling Club’s Crystal Lane was fastest to complete the course in 23.42.
