Deeside Ramblers Ladies 2nd 0-1 Winnington Park Ladies
JEN Young scored a decisive goal for Winnington Park when they edged a close encounter with Deeside’s seconds last weekend.
She kept calm to apply the finishing touch to a move started by Chris Davies and continued by a clever deflection from Sarah Kinder that caught out the home team’s defence.
The Northwich team stay third in the Cheshire Women’s League top-flight as a result.
There was little to choose between the rivals, and Park suffered an early blow when Ellie Capstick was forced to leave the pitch with a hand injury.
Goalkeepers at both ends, with solid back-lines in front of them, played their part in keeping the scores level before Young clinched maximum points for the away side.
It leaves her side third in the Division One table with four games left.
They return to action at Northop Hall on Saturday week.
