WINNINGTON Park remain in a group pursuing leaders Knutsford in the North West Men’s League top-flight after sharing the spoils with Bowdon’s thirds last weekend.
Mike Sambell, twice, and Mike Dodd score the home team’s goals in a 3-3 draw at Sir John Deane’s College.
Winnington Park’s thirds lost 3-1 at their Mossley Hill counterparts following a hard-fought encounter in which Ian Turley netted for the visitors at the back-post.
Liam McKee was on target twice for Winnington’s fourths in a 2-2 draw with Runcorn’s thirds – both of them equalisers.
He squeezed a shot inside the near post to cancel out the visitors’ opener, then claimed a leveller with 10 minutes left after Park had fallen behind for a second time.
And he was a lick of paint away from scoring a decisive third, and with it completing a hat-trick, when his attempt struck an upright with only seconds remaining.
