BARN Owl A, the lowest ranked side still in the competition, continued a remarkable run in the Northwich and District League’s Team Knockout on Wednesday.
They whitewashed hosts Iron Bridge to reach the last four.
Holders Gladstone C remain on course to claim a second successive league and cup double after easing past Gladstone B.
They are joined in the semi finals by top-flight rivals Castle D, who proved too strong for Gladstone A, and Green Dragon A after they squeezed past Barn Owl B by the odd frame.
A draw for the next round is scheduled for next month.
Castle A are in contention to win the Supplementary Shield for a second successive season after eliminating Division Two outfit Iron Bridge.
Castle C, separated by 14 places and two levels from visiting Barn Owl H, eased through as well.
Barn Owl E fared better, ending the run of Greenbank B.
A line-up for the semi finals – scheduled for February – is completed by Blue Barrel B, who recovered from 2-0 down to see off Division Three rivals Witton Chimes B.
