CASTLE D continued to match the pace being set by champions Gladstone C at the Northwich and District League summit.
A victory away to Greenbank A is their fifth in succession since the start of the season, leaving them two points adrift of first place.
Gladstone were 6-1 victors at Castle A last Wednesday.
Castle B climbed from the bottom of the table following a 5-2 triumph at Gladstone A, while there were wins too for Castle C and Nectar’s at home to Green Dragon A and Gladstone B respectively.
Lion B lead the way in Division Two, but they needed Simon Perry to win a deciding frame in their head-to-head with Witton Chimes A.
Barn Owl B are only a point adrift in second following a 5-2 victory on their own table against Owley Wood.
Greenbank C were comfortable winners at Moulton Legion, while the margin of victory was a narrower one for Iron Bridge at home to Gladstone D and Lion A when they hosted Barn Owl E.
Barn Owl A moved 12 points clear at the top of Division Three after a 6-1 success at Blue Barrel A.
Wheatsheaf, their closest-rivals, have a game in hand.
Improving Barn Owl H made it back-to-back wins when they edged out visitors Broken Cross, while Green Dragon B saw off Witton Chimes B by the same score.
Blue Barrel B captain Jake Birchall was a happy man after his side registered a first league win of the campaign at the fourth attempt, beating Greenbank B.
