NORTHWICH driver Dave Billington was on track at home circuit Oulton Park on Saturday for the latest round of the Formula Ford 1600 Northern Championship.
His best lap during qualifying was a 1.55.522, leaving him 22nd on the grid – fifth fastest in class.
After holding station on the opening lap, the Cuddington-based pilot then dropped a place in his Van Diemen RF86.
He reached the finish in 23rd, sixth in his car’s category.
