RAJ Tandon and Rob Campbell hit the target as Barnton saw off The Grange in Crewe and District League action on Saturday.
Ashley Dale bagged Grange’s consolation in a 2-1 defeat.
Winnington 94 could not stop Sandbach Curshaws going top of the league when they were beaten 3-1, Paul Roberts netting twice along with Fraser Keena for the table toppers.
Winnington Avenue’s game with Tarporley Vics fell victim to the weather, but that was the league’s only casualty.
Elsewhere there was a high-scoring draw at Sandbach Town as they shared the points with Tarvin, finishing 4-4.
