AS expected, Gladstone C ensured the title of Northwich and District League champions will remain theirs after a whitewash of Barn Owl C on Wednesday.
After 16 successive wins this season, they are 30 points clear of their closest rivals.
And second spot is now occupied by Gladstone A after they hammered Rudheath on their own table at Middlewich Road.
Gladstone B made it a perfect night for their club, beating Barn Owl D after Dave Swindley potted the final black in a deciding frame.
Greenbank A landed a likely decisive blow in a battle to finish first in Division Two after beating challengers Nectar’s.
They are eight points clear with a game in hand.
Barn Owl E are running out of time to pinch a promotion place after squeezing past Owley Wood by the odd frame, while Lion A’s hopes were hit after a heavy defeat against Moulton Legion.
At the bottom, back-markers Witton Chimes A’s resurgence lost momentum after they let slip a 3-2 lead at Barn Owl B.
However a position of safety remains only two points away with two matches remaining.
Bowling Green kept alive their hopes of being promoted as Division Three champions after recovering from 3-1 down to win away to Barn Owl H.
Nathan Adshead held his nerve to win a final-frame shoot-out.
Lion B are five points clear though following a 6-1 win at Green Dragon B.
Witton Chimes B’s Nick Healy won the seventh frame of a close contest with third-placed Barn Owl A, while Blue Barrel A and Blue Barrel B went down to Salt Barge and Greenbank B respectively.
