VICTORIA’S pursuit of defending champions Leopards at the Mid-Cheshire Super League summit continued with a whitewash of Raptors on Monday.

Keith Mitchell, Peter Morley and Martin Thomson returned unblemished cards.

The pacesetters are six points clear following a 7-3 success at fourth-placed Tigers, where Winston Duff and Andy Town both recorded a hat-trick of wins.

Cobras, still searching for a first win in Division One, shared the spoils with Sparks after a 5-5 draw.

Dave Southall’s treble was a highlight for Sparks, while Dave Myles won twice for the back-markers.

In Division Two, Blades drew level with Lemmings in the table following a 6-4 win.

Four players – Gail Johns and Dave Etchells for Lemmings along with Blades’ Adam Ryder and Jake Styles – won two matches each.

That tie allowed leaders Crusaders, for whom Steve Peach enjoyed an unbeaten evening, to add to an advantage over their rivals after beating Valiants by the same score.

Mike McGhee’s haul of three wins for Wolves was not enough to tip a close contest with Hawks his side’s way.

Rangers are favourites to take the Division Three title after an 8-2 success against second-placed Vikings.

Tom Doughty and Andy Woodyatt avoided defeat for the table-toppers.

In the other match, newcomers Middlewich High School were on the receiving end of a 10-0 whitewash against Kinetics.
