Ray Worthington fought hard for Sparks’ points in an 8-2 reverse against Victoria, who rise to second in the standings.

Team Hut squeezed past Raptors, for whom captain Simon Lafferty and Chris Snape both recorded a brace of wins, in the other top-flight contest played.

Crusaders remain unbeaten in Division Two after sharing the spoils with closest rivals Lemmings.

Dave Etchells registered three wins for the second-placed side, but doubles for Steve Peach and Ryan Ratcliffe ensured their team continue to occupy top spot.

Wolves closed a gap to Valiants in the table following an 8-2 win in which Mike McGhee’s card – including three solo successes - was most impressive.

Rangers are tied for first place with Bears in Division Three after they were held unexpectedly by Kinetics.

Veteran George Berry emerged as victor from each of his matches for to help end Rangers’ five-match winning run.

Meanwhile Paul Curley and Andy Edwards both avoided defeat for Bears in a comfortable 8-2 success against Falcons.
