NORTHWICH Sapphires returned to winning ways in the North West Championship League on Sunday.
They edged a close encounter against Chester Blue in the final quarter at Rudheath Leisure Centre, recording a slender 40-36 success.
Lydia Patterson was picked as their player of the match.
A trip to back-markers Ribble Valley Rebels follows next at the end of the month.
Last Wednesday, goal defence Rachel Banister inspired Sapphires to a 48-32 victory against Warrington Town seconds in the Warrington and District Winter League’s top flight.
They stay third in the table, one point adrift of second-placed Halton.
In Division Two, Northwich thirds beat Warrington Town sixths by four goals thanks to star turn Charlotte Ives’ sharp shooting.
