THROWERS from Northwich and Winsford helped Cheshire record a second successive win in the British Inter County Championship last week.
A 23-16 aggregate success against Devon included victories for the men's and women's A teams.
Winsford's Dave Bird won a head-to-head with Phil Stewart (4-2) for the former.
Jane Stubbs, from Northwich, edged Maria O'Brien (3-2) while Andrea Hunt enjoyed a whitewash of Lisa Hughes for the women's A team.
The men's B played out a 6-6 draw on aggregate; Stuart Kellett eased past Daniel Allen without losing a leg, while Matthew Hunt saw off Kevin Elliot (4-2).
Devon's only success at Rudheath Social Club came in the women's B encounter, which they won 5-1.
Winsford darter Bev Martin went down 3-1 against Kelly-Marie Gabriel.
Cheshire, scheduled to visit Essex next month, occupy sixth place in the Premier Division at the turn of the year.
