Bebington 2 Winnington Park 2
A LATE leveller by their opponents on Saturday denied Winnington Park a first league victory since the start of October.
However they can take heart from successive draws in the past fortnight.
They defended resiliently during a goalless first half, but created little at the other end.
That changed after the interval, when captain Pete Evans flick from a penalty corner was deflected in by a defender.
Bebington returned the favour to restore parity, only for Winnington to edge ahead a second time when another Evans attempt that eluded the goalkeeper's attempt to save.
It left Park with five minutes to hold on, but they were undone by a scramble in the circle from which their hosts secured a deserved point.
Winnington visit North League Division Two West leaders Wilmslow on Saturday, push back 3pm.
