Owley Wood halted a four-match losing run with victory at Barn Owl E, while Witton Chimes A sent Barn Owl B to the bottom of the table after registering a first league win since September 30.

In Division One, Rudheath suffered a first reverse of the campaign at Gladstone A.

Champions Gladstone C, boosted by Darryl Fallow's 8-ball break, moved four points clear of their closest rivals following a 5-2 success against back-markers Barn Owl C.

Simon Cross, of Green Dragon A, claimed a third maximum of the season, but it was not enough to prevent defeat against a Castle Private B side for whom Rob Winnington won a deciding frame.

Barn Owl D's Colin Lightfoot was another to pot all eight balls, helping his team to see off Gladstone B.

Witton Chimes B became the first team to beat Barn Owl A, victors in each of their six opening matches, in Division Three.

Bowling Green, who now host opponents at Gladstone Club, pinch first place after a whitewash of Barn Owl H.

The Lion B thrashed Green Dragon B by the same score, while Blue Barrel A were victors for a third successive match.

Blue Barrel B continue to prop up the table though after losing 5-2 at Greenbank B.
