THE top junior boys of Northwich Rowing Club had an impressive end to their 2014 campaign at Hampton Head on the Thames.
George Lawton and Greg Murphy won the junior 17 double sculls in 8.31, finishing the fifth fastest crew.
In a field of 42 scullers, Lawton also took the top prize in the single sculls event in a time of 9.13.
Murphy showed his continuing potential with a third place in the junior 16 event in 9.32.
Leon Langmead and Harry Blake impressed in the single sculls and finished fifth in the double sculls.
The club’s annual meeting saw re-elected captain Rachel Hooper praise the 66 per cent win increase, 140 in total, on the previous season.
