Division Two leaders Green Dragon A won were victors for a sixth successive week, establishing a three-point advantage over their closest rivals by beating Iron Bridge.

Chapels reeled off three frames in a row to leave Wheatsheaf anchored to the bottom of the table, while Barn Owl B were the section’s biggest winners after whitewashing Moulton Legion.

The Lion A occupy fourth place following a slender 4-3 win against Greenbank A, while Owley Wood B let slip a two-frame advantage during a defeat against Greenbank C.

The Lion B became the first team to beat pacesetters Greenbank B in Division Three this season, allowing Nectar’s to close the gap after edging out third-placed Blue Barrel A.

Blue Barrel B enjoyed a more successful evening, stopping a sequence of six successive reverses in a victory at Green Dragon A.

Greenbank B recovered from 3-2 down to pip Witton Chimes, a return to winning ways after four defeats while Barn Owl A were unexpected winners at Davenham.
