NETBALL: Promotion joy
WINSFORD will play at a higher level in the South Cheshire Premier League from September after earning promotion to the Championship Division via the play-offs.
They defeated Star, by 39-31, in Crewe last Monday to secure a spot in the competition’s second tier along with Division One champions Witton Albion.
Winsford won two matches, against Roundabouts and Cheshire Stars Pink, to reach the play-off final.
