WINNINGTON Park's torrid season ended with trouncing at Rochdale.
Skipper Mark Patterson was once more left to wonder what might have been as his side repeated the mistakes that have blighted their campaign.
"It's the same old story," he said afterwards.

"We played some great rugby to get ourselves into some promising positions but the ball was either turned over or the wrong decision was made."
On four occasions Rochdale punished those choices to romp the length of the pitch to score.
After their embarrassing reverse at Northwich last week, the hosts were in the mood to finish the season on a high and by half time had scored four converted tries.
Park improved after the break, with Colts graduate Ryan McKibbin again a standout performer, but two further tries and a penalty were added to Rochdale's tally.
"Our young team has found it tough on the road and most will be glad the season is over," added Patterson.
"It's been a baptism of fire but I hope it stands them in good stead for next year."
The RFU have yet to decide how many teams will drop down to Euromanx South Lancashire/Cheshire One but after finishing penultimate bottom Park are almost certain to be relegated.
Patterson said: "Everyone is staying so I hope we can bounce back at the first attempt."
