WINNINGTON dropped another two points on Saturday and now have it all to do if they are to avoid the drop. With rivals Vale of Lune just beating Northwich, the Burrows Hill outfit are now three points from safety.
However, all is not lost and, with games against both Northwich and Vale to come, points are up for grabs.
Injuries and work commitments again took their toll as the team suffered on the road. The home side have invested heavily in overseas talent in a desperate bid to stay up, and it was that which made the difference on Saturday.

Winnington's young side could not take their chances and the only score of the game came from the boot of Ben Elliot.
Dropped ball in the lineout, missed touch kicks and tackles all allowed for a scrappy game that was decided by one try scored by Tyldesley's Australian hooker Jones. He sneaked around the blind side for the winning try.
Park were very much deflated but just need to keep battling on and with Chester at home on Saturday the task gets no easier. With B Richardson and N Welsh returning and Pete Dennett possibly available after his recent knee operation, selection may become slightly easier.
Special thanks go to Pete Higson who at the age of 46 became the oldest player to represent Park this season after his 11th-hour call up
Team: Burgess, Robins, Sant, Patterson C, Critchley, Cross, Haughton, Stubbs, Warr, Elliot, Evans, Patterson M , Garbett, Phoenix, Barton. Subs: Higson, Sullivan.
