THE tension begins to increase at the top of the table as second place Pilkington continued their winning streak.
They beat Gamesley 4-3 with a last minute winner.
Brian Capper put Gamesley before Pilks' Andrew Smith netted two in 10 minutes to haul his team back into the game.
Ian Frazer added a third soon after the restart only to stir the fire in Gamesley's bellies.
Matt Minshall scored 15 minutes from time before Brian Arrowsmith headed home to bring the scores level.
The sides looked set for a draw until Tony Scott popped up with a late winner.
Pilkington stay second in the league on goal difference.
Aaron Kelly put Trafford Reserves ahead in their home fixture against Styal but goals from Craig Massey and John Thornton turned the tables.
Rico Colulo brought Trafford back level on the hour mark only for Dave Graham to put Styal ahead again.
The sides thought the drama of the half was over until Phil Newton made it 3-3 shortly before the break for the sides to go in level at half time.
The second half was equally entertaining but with no goals.
Styal remain third, two points behind joint leaders Greenalls Padgate St Oswald and Pilkington.
