GRAYS Athletic have swooped to sign former Vics fan favourite Stuart Elliott.

The 30-year-old midfielder has penned a one-year deal at the Recreation Ground.

Released by York City last week, Elliott had said he would consider a return to the Marston's Arena should the club approach him.

He is chairman-cum-manger Mick Woodward's second signing of the week after winger Ishmael Welsh switched from Yeovil Town.

CRAWLEY Town have confirmed three players - Paul Watson, Jamie Krause and Lee Blackburn - will not be offered new deals with the Red Devils.

JIM Harvey has released six players following Forest Green Rover's best season yet in the Blue Square Premier.

Danny Carey-Bertram - he of the tights at the Marston's Arena last season - is joined out of the exit door by defenders Anthony Tonkin, Chris Giles and Mark Preece along with youngster Lorcan Sheehan.

Top scorer Stuart Fleetwood is expected to follow, with Crewe Alexandra and Charlton Athletic reported to be interested in his signature.

KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have already begun a clearout with Jonny Harkness, Michael Blackwood, Jeff Kenna and John Munday looking for new clubs.

Midfielder Gavin Hurren has failed to agree a deal with manager Mark Yates, but winger Brian Smikle and striker Matthew Barnes-Homer penned one-year deals this week.

OXFORD United manager Darren Patterson has been ruthless as he looks to avoid a repeat of his side's poor campaign next time around.

Strikers Craig McAllister and Rob Duffy and midfielders Danny Rose and Carl Pettefer have all been let go.

Eddie Hutchinson, Alex Jeannin and Joel Ledgister remain on the transfer list but livewire forward Yemi Odubade will stay after an impressive end to the season.

WEYMOUTH have been busy tying key players down to new contracts.

Scott Doe, Anton Robinson, Marcus Browning and Stuart Beavon all agreed deals today, Thursday, joining newboy Ryan Williams as the base from which manager John Hollins will build next term.

STRIKER Manny Williams is Woking's first signing of the summer.

He arrives at Kingfield on a free transfer after scoring 20 times in 47 appearances for Maidenhead United this season.
