NORTHWICH will host higher-ranked Macclesfield in the Cheshire RFU Cup’s first round after being paired with the National League outfit in last night’s draw.
Blacks make their bow in the county’s premier team knockout competition this term as a reward for their second-placed finish in North One West last time around.
The first round ties are due to be played on Saturday, August 28, kick off times to be agreed.
Holders Sale Jets, conquerors of Lymm in last season’s final, travel to Birkenhead Park.
Meanwhile neighbours Winnington Park, top seeds in the Cheshire RFU Bowl that they won last season, begin their defence on the road at Oldershaw.
