Northwich take on New Brighton in league and cup on same Saturday

NEW Brighton have agreed to make their New Year date against Northwich a double header.

Their post-Christmas tussle at Moss Farm will count in both the Northern Division’s North One West and also the semi final of the Cheshire RFU’s Senior Vase competition.

“We put the idea to both sets of players and they were happy,” said Northwich chairman Sam Naylor.

“The guys are asked to play a lot of rugby these days and so we figured this was a chance to take off the pressure of having an extra match.”

Blacks will host the Blues on Saturday, January 16.
