MOSS Farm is a fortress again.
Since an opening day derby defeat, Northwich have won every match on home turf.
Their latest success, which brought with it a bonus-point reward, propels them to third place in South Lancs/Cheshire Division One.
They trailed 6-0 after the visitors from Isle of Man kicked two penalties awarded as punishment for Blacks straying offside.
A stalemate followed until four minutes before the break, when wing Andy Outram touched down in the corner after captain Chris Dale had picked up from the base of an attacking scrum.
James Underhill’s penalty before the break established a lead they did not surrender.
The home team dominated the second period, adding two tries to their total within seven minutes of the restart.
Robin Houghton was alert when throwing in quickly from a lineout, and Northwich moved the ball on to full back Joel Barber who stepped inside covering defenders to score.
Underhill added a conversion.
Blacks then pinched back possession in their own half, and Barber off-loaded to Richard Dale after making forward progress.
The centre’s smart footwork created space for him to run into unchallenged for the hosts’ third try.
Underhill kicked the extras.
Douglas applied pressure in a bid to close the gap, but they could not respond when Chris Dale collected a stray pass before running the full length of the field to touch down.
A third Underhill conversion settled the outcome in Blacks’ favour.
They return to action on Saturday week, November 7, with a trip to back-markers Hoylake.
