NORTHWICH Ladies hope to put successive league defeats behind them when they visit fellow promotion hopefuls Sheffield on Sunday.
They have slipped to third place in RFU Women’s Championship North Two following reverses at Darlington and Carlisle, but leaders Ormskirk are only four points better off.
Sheffield, beaten 17-12 at Moss Farm back in October, are currently second.
The Yorkshire outfit are two points clear of their guests this weekend.
Northwich stormed to the table’s summit after winning their first eight matches of the campaign, and remain one of four teams still in the running to finish first.
