CONNOR Behan left Thruxton with mixed feelings following the opening round of the British 125GP Championship on Sunday.
Mechanical problems meant the Barnton teenager could only qualify way back on the seventh row of the grid in 27th place, but he scorched through the field to cross the line 11th.
"He was quite pleased with the result but not with his grid position," said mum Julie.

"The bike still needs a bit of work to get it up to speed."
The 16-year-old is some 10mph slower than his fastest rivals through the speed traps, leaving him with plenty to ponder ahead of the next meeting at Oulton Park - his home circuit - in a fortnight.
