CONNOR Behan warmed up for Saturday's opening round of the British 125GP Championship with a win at his home circuit.

The Barnton teenager took the chequered flag 16 seconds clear of his nearest rival in the 125GP class at the first Wirral 100 Club meeting at Oulton Park this summer.

"The weather was a bit of a test," he said.

"We did not know which tyres to use, but luckily we made the right choice."

He heads to Thruxton on Friday full of confidence with his team's new bike running well.

The fastest circuit on the calendar hosts the opening round of the British 125GP Championship after the scheduled Brands Hatch curtain raiser was snowed off.
