A NORTHWICH race team’s progress on track will be broadcast live on television this season.
ITV Sport plans to film every round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, which features a two-cars entry from Speedworks Motorsport.
The season starts next month at Brands Hatch.
“It’s terrific that ITV remains a genuine alternative for people looking beyond Formula 1,” said Steve Rider, who will continue to front coverage on ITV 4 at each race day.
“The network’s coverage is a perfect marriage between high street motoring and the high-octane end of motorsport.
“BTCC always comes with a great noise and fury and this will likely be even more so the case in 2012.”
“The viewers not only have a wide variety of cars to look forward to this time around, but also an increased spectacle."

He is again due to be joined by Louise Goodman, whose role extends to paddock, pit lane and grid interviews.
New to the team for the forthcoming campaign is commentator Toby Moody, who will sit alongside former champion and pundit Tim Harvey in the commentary box.
Rider said: “I’m delighted that we have Toby on board for what I think will be compelling viewing on television sets up and down the country.
“The viewers not only have a wide variety of cars to look forward to this time around, but also an increased spectacle that the latest Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) regulations bring with their turbo-charged engines and flaming exhausts.”
