OULTON Park race circuit is gearing up to host its first major car meeting of the new season this weekend.

The Little Budworth circuit plays host to a double-headline meeting from the Avon Tyres British GT Championship and Cooper Tires British F3 International series.

There are races on both Saturday and Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

British F3 and GT brings brings an exciting mix of multi-million pound sports cars and future Grand Prix stars to Cheshire for two days of action, including more than seven hours of racing on Monday.

The British GT Championship grid for 2011 features a mouth-watering array of cars, including the series debut of a Mercedes AMG SLS Ferrari 458s and a pair of Lotus Evoras.

They go up against iconic marques such as Aston Martin, Audi and Porsche.

As well as two, hour-long British GT races, Oulton Park hosts a British F3 International series triple-header plus support action from the Ginetta Challenge, MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain and the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

There is also a full programme of entertainment planned away from the track, including a fun fair.

Adults pay £12 on the gate to watch the action tomorrow, Saturday, which includes four races and £21 on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.
