THE Vintage Sports Car Club showcases cars from as far back as the 1920s during its annual festival at Oulton Park on Saturday.
This year’s edition celebrates the life and achievements of Mike Hawthorn, Britain’s first Formula 1 world champion in 1958, when sports cars from the same decade compete to win the Hawthorn Memorial Trophy.
Other highlights include the Oulton Park Trophy race for pre-war cars, along with action from classic front-engine roadster Formula 1 and Formula 2.
In addition there will be classic cars on display, with free paddock access for spectators to take a closer look at the unique machinery competing, and a vintage vehicle parade.
Races start at 1pm.
Adults pay £20 on the gate, while accompanied U12s enter free.
