BARNTON Wanderers continued a perfect run since the turn of the year when they beat opponents closest to them at the Crewe and District League’s summit.
A 4-2 victory at Sandbach Curshaws leaves them six points clear.
Joel Hind, Craig Humphries, Dom Johnson and Craig Smith all scored for the visitors, who have prevailed in six successive matches in 2018.
Champions Winsford Saxons continued their pursuit of the leaders with a 3-2 win at neighbours Over 3 Grange, who had lost only once previously in the Premier Division this season.
Joe Pointon netted twice for the victors, while Ashley Dale and substitute Zak Finnigan replied.
Improving Witton Albion reserves twice came from behind to edge out newcomers Clock Tower at Moss Farm.
Max Linaker netted their first leveller and Harry Sanderson-Murray made it 2-2 before Felix Woral’s late winner settled the outcome.
Max Brown claimed both of the visitors’ goals.
