BOYS at Davenham Dynamoes continued a remarkable run of success last season, celebrating a treble.

The Northwich club’s under 15s edged out closest-rivals Egerton to capture the Division One title in their age group of the Mid Cheshire Youth League, winning 11 of their 14 games.

However they needed to prevail in a play-off, which they won 2-1, to be separated from the Knutsford outfit after the teams finished level on points.

It marks the fourth time in the past five years they have topped the table.

Manager Dave Burns and his assistant, Jon Fish, also guided their side to victory in the League Cup final against opponents from Winsford Diamonds.

Victories against Rudheath (5-2), Winsford United Colts Athletic (6-2) and Middlewich (10-1) secured a spot in the showpiece.

A 1-1 draw with Barnton Wanderers in the Mid-Cheshire District FA Cup final was followed by a narrow 5-4 success in a penalty shoot-out to add a third piece of silverware.

Davenham also made it to the Cheshire FA Junior Cup final, but were denied the county crown – and a clean sweep of trophies – by a 3-1 defeat against West Kirby.

They had seen off Vauxhall Motors (8-3), Sale United (3-1), Victoria Colts (3-1) and Stalybridge Celtic (5-0) in previous rounds.
